When Time Ran OutA Pacific island is the setting for a natural catastrophe when an active volcano threatens to blow its top. Irwin Allen's unmitigated disaster of a disaster movie has been dubbed 'When the ideas ran out' and deservedly so. It's bad enough to impose a big-budget B-movie of such crippling ineptitude on the paying public, without squandering a good cast on such tosh. The actors evidently resented being used as puppets for the not-so-special effects, with the result that their mechanical performances make it look like they've been relocated to Tracey Island for an episode of Thunderbirds. Appalling.
