probably one of the best satirical films i've seen.. just as good as Network..

Dustin Hoffman was perfect.. he should have won an oscar for this role.. the scenes with woody harrelson are just too hilarious.. this film gets 5 stars..

amazing precursor to the first gulf war. One can see how the first gulf war was a war for television. A simulacrum of war that televised bombing raids without real man to man combat.

Its very true that wars glorify men ambitions, and peace though very philosophical, tends to be portrayed as a cowardly act. The war has been an instrument of achieving senseless power, and peace denies this senseless struggle.

This movie is a classical depiction of this. Robert DeNiro was as usual a class act, so was Dustin Hoffman. 5/5

This is a great movie!
