Vicky and Cristina, these two young Americans spend a summer in Spain and meet a flamboyant artist and his beautiful but insane ex-wife. Vicky is straight-laced and about to be married. Cristina is a sexually adventurous free spirit. When they all become amorously entangled, both comedic and harrowing results ensue.
Vicky Cristina Barcelona is a sexy, funny divertissement that passes as enjoyably as an idle summer's afternoon in the titular Spanish city. With Javier Barden starring as a bohemian artist involved variously with Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz and Rebecca Hall, pic offers potent romantic fantasy elements for men and women and a cast that should produce the best commercial returns for a Woody Allen film since Match Point. And, in the bargain, if Barcelona wants even more visitors than it already attracts, this film will supply them.
Just as London did when Allen went there for Match Point, the Catalan capital serves as an evident stimulus for the dire...

Woody Allen's latest comedy about the vagaries of passion, set in Barcelona, shows that lovely Spanish city off to its best advantage, just as it does its lead actors.
A witty, engrossing and well-crafted musing on the capricious nature of love, the film also is a valentine to the city, which is almost an additional character. yeah it's kinda good, but not GREAT like how the critics were giving it praise. it's just there, and a comedy?? yeah, right!! i dont remember laughing or even giggling through the entire movie. I will tell you, my eyes weren't glued to screen through out this movie, but i guess as u all say, ''it's worth a watch''!! 2.5/5
it has a good story line, but i hate the story line
Now I must say something why its 50/50 on the votes, if you have been to Barcelona your already going to enjoy this! People who have not visited Spain wont really get the characters or how beautifull it is Barca is a very artsy town (got to see it to belive it) Its a Very Nice film, Ive been to Barca and Madrid, Spain has to be the most beautifull country and Woody Allen definetly grasped it, Very enjoyable and funny, not laugh out loud funny but a pleasant and watchable funny. Fabulous movie and will bring a smile to whomever endears to watch it 9/10
