Uncle Buck
A classic John Candy movie with an excellent comedy performance from an 80's comedy icon. Not to be missed.

Great film for all the family. John Candy makes an excellent Uncle Buck. I have watched this film lots of times in the past and still enjoy every minute of it. The story is great, the acting spot on. (Its before Macauley Culin became irritating) I would also rate this film as one of John Hughes best. All his trademarks are in place. The film is beautifully shot and well thought out. I had waited a long time to seen this film in Wide screen and it certainly benefits from it. One thing that is missing is a directors commentary, On the DVD Extras you get a few lines on the making of the film and all it did was wet your tastebuds for wanting all the details behind the making of the gr...

Uncle Buck
This is the movie in which director John Hughes made a decision to leave the world of adolescence behind after films such as The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller's Day Off and regress back into childhood. Despite the fact that this was also the film that unleashed Macaulay Culkin on to the world at large, there is still much to enjoy. John Candy makes the most of his starring role as the lovable slob who is pressed into looking after his brother's children, and Hughes stages some neat comic set pieces. Only the sentimental moralising strikes a false note.

John Candy Is the one that made Uncle Buck Brillant!

He was so Funny and talented that couldent have chose a better person for the character role of Buck he was Fantastic!

So sad he died so young!
