Toxic waste bubbles in a ship waiting permission to dock in Odessa. Frank Martin turns down a job in Marseilles, referring it to a pal. A short time later, the pal, wounded by gunfire, crashes his car into Frank's living room and dies, leaving a young woman in the back seat. The employer of the dead man shows up, forces Frank to take the job, snaps a bracelet on his wrist that will explode if Frank gets more than 75 feet from his car, and sends Frank on a journey east with the young woman and a trunk full of something. She's Valentina, nearly mute. Can Frank figure out what's going on, deliver... the package, and escape alive? And what does the ship have to do with it?Read moreLess
breaks too many rules:-((
not as good as the other 2, not enough fights, too many silly car stunts & the most annoying co star of all time, the passenger!
sorry jase but your gonna have to try harder next time, cos there will be another installment, but do yourself a favour ditch the minger eh!
A story about a man delivering packages, no matter how skilled he is at driving a German roadster on two wheels or skidding onto the roof of a speeding train, is still a story about a deliveryman.
It's a questionable concept for one movie, let alone a trio of them. But Transporter 3 (* * out of four), like its predecessors, rides on the good looks and charisma of star Jason Statham.
The stunts can be impressive, too, though many of them take place in cars that seem like blatant product placements. Though there are a lot of beat-downs, no blood seems to be spilled, presumably to guarantee a PG-13 rating.
Once again starring the charismatic Jason Statham as organized crime's one-man FedEx, Transporter 3, the third installment in the Luc Besson-produced action series, boasts a measure of the retro machismo, style and attitude some 007 fans have found lacking in Quantum of Solace. But it also has a pointless storyline, incoherent editing and a polyglot cast that renders some of the dialogue utterly incomprehensible. (The most nerve-wracking moment? When someone tries to pronounce "subsidiary.") Series fans will find adequate action and opening weekend numbers should be high-caliber, but drop-off may be precipitous for this anemic sequel.
Statham is back as ...
Transporter 3 Jason Statham returns as the two-fisted, fast-driving delivery man. This time he has to contend with bad guys who are trying to blackmail a Ukrainian politician
There are so many things wrong with Transporter 3. The plotting is nonsensical, the structure is ramshackle, the direction is workmanlike, the acting is poor and the script is appalling. In its favour is the likeable London-born actor Jason Statham, once more deploying his mid-Atlantic growl as hero Frank Miller. Whatever his failings as an actor, Statham has charisma on his side. He'll never be an A-lister but he's plying a successful trade in second-tier, trashy action movies like this one.
