In order to see this great classic here. better use #3NOVAMOV, which is wrongly said not to work, since on the other sites you are either limited to 5 mins' viewing, or forced to register. The objection raised earlier to the casting of Heston as a Mexican has often been made, but he is racially not particularly Nordic-looking, and many Mexicans are of 100% Spanish extraction which may mean they have germanic ancestors (Andalusia = Land of the Vandals). In his time he played both a Norman overlord and the Spanish hero El Cid. I haven't seen this movie since it was first released in German ("Im Zeichen des B

Great cast and another great film by the astounding Orson Welles. The only flaw that I see is that Charlton Heston is completely not believable at all as a Mexican. Given that he is one of the central characters, it takes a lot away from the movie. 3.5/5

I really enjoyed this film, one should expect excellence from Charlton Heston, Orson Wells and Janet Leigh. The phrase "They don't make movies like they used to" really applies to this film. 4/5
