wacht this one it is a really good remake, but it aint the original..

The remake is above average, but the original is still the best..simply because of the time period in which it was made.

The acting is rather bad and it's extremely low budget, but the gore content is absolutely astounding for 1970. Granted, it's quite O.T.T "braindead-style" gore..but still definitely way ahead of its time where graphic violence is concerned.

I thought I'd seen it all when I watched Wes Craven's "Last House on the Left" (1972).

I sure was wrong..
