This is an action classic! To all those who think it should be remade, FORGET IT!! These remakes that are being done now are horrible! This generation needs to try to come up with some new ideas and leave the classics alone! CHECK THIS ONE OUT!!

What people seem to misunderstand is that this film is supposed to be have the style of a comic book hence the masks and costumes etc which I would assume for the most part have little to nothing in common with the "colours" real gangs may sport. (This is explained as such by Walter Hill in a documentary on the Directors Cut and as part of that there are a few comic-book style wipes to cut between scenes on the film)

As a fan of The Warriors I have to agree it does now seem a little dated, although who knows what modern technology could do to a pristince copy of the original film, hopefully at some point in the future this will happen but won't hold my breath. That being said there are some really good performances especially David Patrick Kelly as Luther the leader of the Rogues, and James Remar as the dangerous (almost sociopathic) Ajax , and not forgetting Lynne Thigpen as the DJ.

I don't realy like the idea of this new movie that has been in the pipeline for years, it is supposedly going to be a re-make but will involve little to no reference to the original movie apart from the gang name, although that HAS been rumoured for a while and until the film is completed and released it is all just speculation.
