When his plan to have another gang get Mourret fails, he has to go after them himself.

A western with conventional themes handled in such a way as to make them seem fresh even after 57 years. But what would you expect other than a success with a cast like the macho Randolph Scott, the sinister George Macready, the brutal ox-like Ernest Borgnine, the sadisitic loud-mouthed Lee Marvin (so young he has black hair!) and the comic/evil Alfonso ("We doan need no stinkin' badges!") Bedoya? Claire Trevor also turned in a good performance as Scott's hard-bitten, worldly wise companion. Highly recommended for western fans of any age. (8/10)
