A typical "man messes with forces he knows little about with disastrous consequences" movie of the 1950s, starring Forrest Tucker (pre "F Troop"). As usual, the female characters are there to scream, swoon, get in the way, and be love objects, although "computer technician" Michelle is a bit more savvy than the stereotype. It is funny in a naive way (the head scientist standing 2 paces away from his assistant and issuing commands like "Switch on Circuit A!"), the military as usual blustering, bluffing, and bumbling its way along through the movie.

An enjoyable bit of yesteryear, delivering a message we would've done well to heed 50 years ago regarding pollution, fossil fuels, and conservation of natural resources rather than electromagnetic fields.
