I agree with some yes it seems incomplete.

I never really heard of this movie when it came out but I was surprised I could not stop watching it. Would have really like to see the whole movie come together at the end.

all in all a really great story.

I decided to watch this movie in memory of Brittany Murphy [it's her only movie I hadn't yet seen]. As an admirer of the Japanese culture and language, I adored the intertwining of Japanese and English dialogue - it makes the setting so much more believable. The plot moved along a little too slow for my liking, and the ending was predictable. But overall it was a pretty entertaining movie. I recommend a one-time watch.

I though this was a pretty good movie. There's a lot of things you might understand later in life. Britney was just fine in this movie and I don't understand all these so-called unanswered questions people seem to be talking about. Learning a language is not really that easy, especially Japanese.. If you're looking for something to watch, go ahead. It was an endearing tale.

the film was splendid.

i felt bad for the chef but i understand the outcome which was well suited for the ending.

everyone was great and the story was lovely.

the actress did a great job, "shinji mai" to all you haters.
