Love watching anything about New Zealand or Australia. This one is worth the watch for the scenery and music alone not to mention the story line and acting. Will take you out of this time and place. I do believe this is of the best movies I've ever seen.

Great movie, such a claustrophobic atmosphere you could almost feel the forest pressing in around you. Saw this in the cinema when it first came out.. Ahh, Holly Hunter, for me she can do no wrong! I seem to remember reading that she actually plays the piano pieces in this herself.. Ahh, what a girl! Fine flick, 4.2/5

Every time I see this film, it only reaffirms that "happy ever after," is the appreciation of the thing [s] that makes that special person "special" in your life or want thereof.

Love can be simple, enduring and rock solid possibility, if you pay attention to the little things that bring happiness in the person you have or want to have social intercourse with.

Those that follow the philosophy, "what have you done for me lately" usually have poor relationships. This film perfectly illustrates that fact.

This is a romantic and heart breaking film of the inability to express one self.
