The Jerky Boys
From the same bad-taste school as Wayne's World's Wayne and Garth comes this TV sitcom, cartoon, comic book and platinum record-selling duo. Johnny Brennan and Kamal Ahmed play the moronic pair of phone pranksters, who use crank calls to be sociable and bluff their way into Mafia high society, incurring the wrath of New York crime boss Alan Arkin. Deft mounting by director James Melkonian aside, this featherlight nonsense shows a distinct lack of comic inspiration. Cameos by Tom Jones, Ozzy Osbourne and William Hickey don't help.
