Stay TunedLamebrain satire in which couch potato Roy (Ritter) is seduced by the Devil (Jones) into exchanging his soul for a high-tech satellite TV system. Hell, apparently, is cable shows with titles like Driving over Miss Daisy, Northern Overexposure, Autopsies of the Rich and Famous and Three Men and Rosemary's Baby - through which Roy and his understandably resentful spouse, Helen (Dawber), must run the gauntlet to escape eternal damnation. After fifty years of uneasy co-existence with television, you'd think the movies would have got this sort of yah-boo stuff out of its system - or at least thought of a few better jokes. |
