Loved this movie, finally did for Star Trek what none of the other movies has managed and actually feel like a decent, stand alone film. Most just felt like double episodes on the big screen. They managed to put in enough in jokes for the trekkies to laugh at without making them in your face an alienate the non-trekkie viewers.

I was literally afraid to watch this movie because I am a huge star trek fan and was terrified that they ruined it, but no no it was actually quite good, they didn't do a bad job at all! Very enjoyable sci-fi even for those who are not huge trekkies!!

I've watched it 10 times already, movie rules, everyone should love it, it stands on its own as just a great sci-fi film if you like Trek or not you should have a blast I like all good sci-fi, and yes Eric Bana needs at least a nomination here, you could tell he poured his heart and soul into that role, 10/10 hellz yeah.

Ive seen this movies much to my suprise it was a good reboot to the franchize and i hopeing that they will make more and keep them entertaing as this one was it was not perfect but it was good and i hope that the second one will not be a ripoff of the the rest of the movies and go its own way

Well i remember in 1992 someone came up with this concept about having a younger crew versions of spork kirk and company .You know what: The whole Paramount board laughed for 30 mins .They said the only way this was ever going to be seen as Tv series was if Star Trek was only being watched by cats and dogs.Now that prophecy has happened and they managed to pin JJ abrams on it as his original idea , everybody is in Rave. Wow..now Paramount has invented a new type.It is a not a Reboot but Regenesis if i can use the term losely.They have changed allot of things and have carte blanche to go 6 sequels more before realizing that Star Trek is over and it will end up as the rest.Surely Origins stories always make money but then it will be the same old same old.Where hasn't Star Trek been yet that you will find an original story to exploit? Again Timeline story save the day..how original. To me the movie might be a crowd pleaser but Like Arnold was the Terminator Shatner was Kirk and Star Trek should remain classic instead of Paramount milking it for a few more billions.

I have never seen any episode of legendary Star Trek TV show. Althought the cast hadn't do anything was movie charming and exciting, a bit good humour in it. LOL that little creature :D Overall it was quite entertaining.

There isn’t a person i know who didn’t enjoy this movie the story and characters interact jus so flawlessly its really changed my perception of star trek i think its worth the watch whether you like star trek or not and those of you who love stars wars will have a slightly more elevated level of comfort with this version of star trek and where its going ..watch and comment “ ENJOY!

I'm saying it: do yourself a favor and do see this one one the big screen - the largest one you can find - even of you see it here. We saw it on IMAX and it was awesome - totally breathtaking. I'm a huge fan of the original tv series. First one I ever saw, still watch reruns when available. Then TNG, Voyager & DS9. Like them ALL a lot & not in any particular order because they are all great. So pay no mind to naysayers stuck on one version or generation of the franchise. This film is AMAZING for too many reasons to list here. Fell in love with the cast within the first 30 minutes (was waiting to see if what seemed good about it would actually stick ). They now have my loyalty along with all the others. And no I am not someone who signed up just to promote seeing the film on screen - have been here awhile, check my Playlists.

I have never been into these types of movies, like sci-fi and all that. But after watching this I have fallen in love with it. This movie was so amazing. Never watched anything like it! I hope they continue to make more and more 'cause i'll definitely be a watcher! If you have any doubts about this movie, forget them all, sit back, and get ready to be dazzled. 10/10.
