An out-of-control speed freak (Schwartzman) is introduced his drug of choice's creator (Rourke) by his dealer (Leguizamo). A massive three-day adventure ensues (with Fugit, Murphy, and Suvari in tow).
Just say no to this awful drugs movie
It's not often that I've experienced a film as repulsive, idiotic and meaningless as 'Spun', the stunningly awful debut of music-video director Jonas Akerlund. The film follows a few days in the life of drug addict Ross(Jason Shwartzman) as he encounters a number of increasingly strange characters, including Mena Suvari, John Leguizamo, Brittany Murphy and Mickey Rourke.

While Jonze sat around waiting for a script of the calibre of Being John Malkovich, Ã…kerlund is not so lucky. Like most drugs films, he's dealing with essentially hollow characters devoid of heart and soul and intent only on getting their next fix. Spun is highly indebted to Darren Aronofsky's Requiem For A Dream, and while Ã…kerlund's frene...
