Set in space. This ' Star Wars/Star Trek/Alien' spoofery/crossover is hilarious. Rick Moranis is Dark Helmet. Helmet wants air. When someone from planet Spaceball foolishly lost it. He will drain the air from planet Druidia where Princess Vespa dosen't want to marry Prince Vallium. She escapes with her android buddie, Dot Matrix and hooks up with dodgy space dealer Lone Starr played by Bill Pullman. Lone Starr & his sidekick Barf played by John Candy owe Pizza The Hutt some money but can't get it. So in order to do this they decide they will go get it but are sidetracked by Princess Vesper & Dot Matrix who are on the run from Dark Helmet's crew 'The Spaceballs' who are out for evil with there Statue-Of-Liberty hoover they build there air draining device into orbit. With spoofery on Alien{ with an unexpected twist}+ Guest appearances from the likes of Mel Brooks as The President of Kapital Spaceball with his two mistresses: Marlene & Sharlene and his assistant Snotty ' Beam Me Up Snotty' i have not given away all the best jokes. Mel Brooks is an extra character named Yogurt who gets some very funny lines. Must see. hilarious. ****
