I was pleasantly surprised. The only action movies I usually watch have to do with Martial Arts. However, this movie delivered. The acting was actually very good. The story line was great, the character development was solid. Special effects were OK: Not bad, not too over the top.

I am actually really looking forward another saga, if they chose to make another one!

nicely done take on the sword and sorcery genre with r.e.howards creation of warmonger turn puritan solomon kane. creative special effects and great battle sequences mixed with well done monstrous creatures and the age old tale of redemption make this must for any self respecting fantasy fan. i hope it isnt the last we see of kane as his world screams for more to be seen. until then we wait for the latest conan tale (the young r.e.howards most famous creation) and if it is as good as this.
