i can respect people like Andrew that like to challenge and push themselves to do things that others mite think aren't humanly possible, but at what cost. now his family and friends have to go through life without him being there. some people do these extreme things to fill like they're alive but why risk it, when you have everything to live for. Wow outstanding, i dont even know what to say, yes he isnt a hero, but he did prove himself to be the best at what he did. did i cry, yes because it is sad, he could see land and didnt make it he was so close but yet so far.

when people are saying that hes an idiot, dumbass and all, you are wrong, there is no reason to call him that, how is it stupid? he knew what he was going up against, he did it! none of you who are insulting him would never do anything to that extreme, infact you would never do anything close to anything extreme. insulting a man because you know you could never do something is wrong. think about that for a second.

hes a hero to his wife and son, friends and family, and to himself.

i am not going to rate this film because it deserves more then that.

His wife knew he was a adventure junkie when they met, hell she is one herself. So they both knew that one day they might lose their life doing what gave the most happiness in life. To each his or her own, but I say he is happy. And that is what life is about doing the things in life that makes you happy, not doing things that you must do, b/c that would make one miserable. When you are not happy you don't perform well in any situation/job.

That man loved his life so there! If you are happy then there is nothing to prove, or explain. Your life is speaking for itself. And his life spoke clearly!

now that was good.. im still sniffleing and im a guy. ive, climbed moutains, and have walked the appalacian trail, then walked the PCT but had to turn back, or stop. i knew my limitations. this guy didnt know his limitations, but he was about 25 miles off.. now thats sad because he almost did it. he missed it by that much, (GET SMART) its not aspoiler because it starts with his death call. very moving, best documentary ive seen ever. the guy that went into the wild shouldve watched this..
