Six Days Seven NightsDuring a romantic island vacation with her fiancé, Heche is roped into covering a story on a neighbouring island for her magazine. Hiring - and instantly disliking - scruffy, cynical Ford to fly her there, they are forced to spend more time together than they had bargained for when the plane crashes on an uninhabited island. Romance inevitably ensues, but it's the film's escalating violence in what started up as a romantic comedy, which is surprising. The producers must have been annoyed when the release coincided with the outing of Hecht (with Ellen Degeneres), but the pairing between her and Ford never sparked on screen. |
