In the 1860s, five men have been tracking a sixth across Nevada for more than two weeks. They shoot and wound him, but he gets away. They pursue, led by the dour Carver, who will pay them each $1 a day once he's captured. The hunted is Gideon, resourceful, skilled with a knife. the words forgive me are a powerful thing to ignore if you have a heart and a child of god. the movie has a very powerful message maybe we all can learn something from this movie.
This western might disappoint some by not delivering the action and the breathless pursuits one might expect, but it's still and excellent, almost philosophical tale. Two great actors do justice to their roles, and the ending achieves in my eyes some sort of surreal epic dimension that leaves one thinking.
