S.F.W.Someone ought to have told writer-director Levy that you can't pull cult movies out of a hat. Everything about this witless media satire - from its deliberately offensive title (it stands for So Fucking What) to its cynical posturing - seems calculated to appeal to disenfrachised youths. Needless to say, disenfranchised youths stayed away from the movie in droves. As the morose slacker turned folk hero Dorff tries hard to coast along on his looks and attitude. Thankfully, co-star Witherspoon managed to put this misfire behind her and has moved on to real cult items like Pleasantville and Election
