Donnas senior prom is supposed to be the best night of her life, one of magic, beauty, and love. Surrounded by her best friends, she should be safe from the horrors of her past. This dvd is superb. High School Student Donna Keppel (played by Brittany Snow) is in the car with her friend Lisa. They are driving home from the movies. When she goes into her house, she sees her dad and brother dead. She then runs, and hides under her bed in her room because she hears the killer. She witnesses her mother's murder by Richard Fenton (played by Johnathon Schaech), a teacher at her school who has become obsessed with her.
Three years later, Donna, is about to graduate and living with her aunt and uncle, is in therapy and taking pills, to deal with the trauma of losing her family and her persistent nightmares.
