Vivian Ward has found a way of living by working as a prostitute on Hollywood Boulevard. When she runs into the prince of her dreams, who comes along on his wild horse, she first does not recognize him as her saviour. The prince, a ruthless and wealthy businessman by the name of Edward Lewis, does not know that she could be more than just a girl from the sidewalk, but he changes his decision after the first night with the beautiful stranger. Still a good film after not seeing it for so many years, some people will still class this as a "chic flic", but don't think that, its funny, sad and romantic. If you have never seen this, well, it's worth a rent, for a quiet Saturday night, with your partnet, only downfall, there was a mark on the disc, so jumped halfway through, but otherwise a very good film.

such a great film! julia roberts and richard gere are STELLAR in this movie which I could watch over and over and over again. really beautiful storyline and it is so amazing to watch vivian and edward fall in love. beautiful story
This is indeed a classic film I will never get tired of watching either, the chemistry between Gear and Roberts is phenomenal, a modern day paradoxical fairytale that is well worth a 5/5.
