A young couple come to regret renting out an apartment when one of their tenants (Keaton) turns out to be a certified fruitcake. He breeds cockroaches, plays lethal tricks with razor blades, trashes the room and refuses to cough up the readies when the rent is due. There is little the landlords can do, as the law appears to be on his side so the stage is set for a nerve-shredding battle of wills. Keaton's character arrives wired and ready to rock with no explanation offered as to how he got this way. But otherwise this is a superior chiller. |
