one of the worst movies i've ever seen. i actually left before the film ended. last time i did that, was when i saw "little nicky" with adam sandler. the one bright spot was the excellent acting of johnny depp. besides that, this film is shit. do not watch, stick with "el mariachi" or "desperado". any of those films are far superior. 1 of 4 stars awful.

Una corrido de mariachis, de la violencia, del honor, y del amor.

This beautifuly orchestrated work of art tells the time honored tale of love lost, of revenge which brings no respite from the emptiness within a soul tortured beyond all forgiveness. Intrigue, and a violent attempt at overthrowing a popular president. Antonio Banderas was excellent in this masterwork of casting by Mary Vernieu and work of this quality on location is worth noting, everyone on this shoot was in top form, special thanks to the stuntmen who made the bodies hit the floor(and everything else) and to the old school special effects teams. Mickey Rourke was perfect for the part he plays, and Johnny Depp again demonstrated why he has become a true star in this day and age where every two bit method actor who speaks four lines is declared a star. Danny Terjo was El Mexicano malhombre perfecto, he's played the bad guy so often some people won't get on an elevator with him, just in case some ultra violence breaks out. In a world where the bad guys are even worse than ruthless, and the innocent finally rise up to meet evil head on, the young women were breathtaking, and Luz Maria Rojas was stunning in her cameo performance.

I love this movie more everytime I see it.

I give this classic a perfect 5 of 5 stars, and a bottle of Mezcal.

Good story, star-studded cast and best of all, super-stylish gunplay; exaggerated, yes, but total eye candy.

One of my favourite action movies. 5/5 stars.

If you liked this, check out John Woo's films "Hard Boiled" and "The Killer" (Gun action you can't afford to miss).

quite good plot even though it was a little confusing throughout.

wanted 2 see more of johnny though :( kinda cos thats the reason i clicked the link teehee

but i liked it. i don't usually watch like guns, crime, drugs, people getting shot every 5 minutes and hardcore american gansta films me, being me, tends to go for the more light hearted kinda rom coms. But i really enjoyed this - very sexy! xx

A great movie with a great story and cast.. This movie has tons of stars in it and has a lot of action, whats not to love? Robert Rodriguez does a awesome job telling the story and directing..

Johnny Depp does great in this as usual but [SPOILER]
meets with an untimely end (being blind) and still manages to kick some butt..
BTW- he's got an awesome belt lol..

This is a great movie that I plan to watch again sometime.. 10/10..

I LOVE desperado (the first part) it was much better then this movie however this is not all at a loss i guess replacing salma hayek with enrique iglesias wasnt such a good idea- but the movies not that bad defo worth a watch.

all three are undoubtably great! el mariachie was an older film from back in the 60's. desperado, with antonio banderas was incredible. this one here blows them all away! johnny depp once again prooves to be the cream of the crop! eye dismemberment and all you cant beat this flick with a double barrell shotgun. i give this 10/10 for sure! if you like johnny depp then you should check out my playlist where i have put all the j.d. movies i could find here in order from newest to oldest.capnluci's just for johnny depp. thanks and enjoy
