The best film I have seen in ages. Superb acting, particularly from Robbins. Difficult themes like child abuse and murder handled sensitively with no reliance on gruesome shock tactics. The plot unfolds very evenly and the main characters are all sympathetic in their own ways.
My only criticism is that the end is a bit lame. The 'we're all trapped in a cellar' line is a bit crass. Watch it. |
