Not really a comedy in my opinion.

Unless you can say life is funny at times.

Renee Z did a good job in this movie.

The movie supposedly pays homage to George Hamiltons mother, his brother and the the trek that led him, his mother and brother to Hollywood.

A cool trip through the 50's.

My wife and I kept noticing little details that gave the movie that 50's feel.

I think this is the best performance of R. Zellweger. She was really good in that role. I don't think this movie is comedy, at all. It's pure drama. I couldn't see any plot in the movie, and it is kinda boring, but then there are very sweet moments, that makes it worth wile watching. It's kinda empowering. Maybe this is more a chick flick, i can't tell..

when ya' think about it that's probably how life really was for some people back then though, and even for quite a few people now. My mom, my sis, and I went through a period like that (though not quite as emotional or exciting).
