MulanMulan is the Chinese girl who, seeing her father unable to fight in the war against the invading Huns, cuts her hair and promptly joins the Army. Accompanied by a tiny dragon voiced by Murphy (be careful not to mistake him for a lizard!) she tries to prove that a girl is just as good as a boy when it comes to fighting for freedom. Charming and beautifully animated Disney, this is let down by a collection of bland songs. But the story is sufficiently gripping, the voices (especially Murphy's) top-notch, and from the first scene onwards you know you're in good hands. |
