Miss Congeniality
A slobbish FBI agent is given a makeover so she can infiltrate a terrorist-targeted beauty pageant in this slight action-comedy with Sandra Bullock
There's an awful lot to like about Sandra Bullock. Beautiful, self-deprecating and sincere - there's no reason to doubt her co-stars when they say she's the nicest person in the business. You just wish she'd find some decent movies to appear in, Miss Congeniality being the latest Bullock dog in a series that dates back to when the credits rolled in Speed.

There's nothing wrong with her performance, of course – it's every bit as likeable as Michael Caine's latter-day Henry Higgins (My Fair Lad...

Lighthearted
This easy to watch movie has nothing in it you wouldn't have seen in any other hollywood movie.

Similar storylines too many, however there are lots of laughs and I'm sure a teen population will enjoy this movie, as will those that just want to chill for the evening.

Sandra Bullock returns to form in this energetic comedy from director Donald Petrie that focuses on the world of beauty pageants. When a terrorist threatens the Miss United States competition, Bullock's determinedly unfeminine FBI agent is drafted in as a contestant. Pampered and preened by contest expert Michael Caine (who doesn't allow his campness to stray into caricature), Bullock uncovers her own feminine side and has some of her preconceptions shattered. Her relationship with FBI colleague Benjamin Bratt sparkles with sexual chemistry and the gags come thick and fast. The antics of the competition's hosts, Candice Bergen and William Shatner, are slightly overplayed...
