i gota agree that its got a hint of tim burton of it, then again ive always liked his creations. stories like it came from someone's nightmare turned into some kind of dark fairytale with a very endearing ending.

Been a fan since high school. Sandman comics are a must for anyone who liked this movie, as well as Neverwhere, Coraline, and Stardust. Burton is a hack compared to the genius of Gaiman

i loved this film, so artistic and creative and i totally got into the story, its a strange film so i guess you have to be in the right mood for it, but if you let it..the visuals will take you to a whole other planet! ..brillience

It's an even more trippy Alice in wonderland. This is a must see for fans of movies like "The Fall". If you like that genre then you'll like this movie.

Great movie !

The story was great and the symbols were right on the money .

It might seem that the special effects weren't that great , but if you watch carefully that is what the producer intended and that is what it made the movie so great , as some parts ( the black queen , for example ) were really nicely CGI-ed .

All and all , it's a great movie ,one of my favs of the genre .!

Kinda slow but really creatively done animation. Kind of like Alice in Wonderland meets Dorothy and they go to a strange dream land and eat magic mushrooms. It didn't have enough to hold my interest but I'm sure if I was younger it would be my favourite movie. The artsy girl who is the main character is a very good actress. 3/5

visually it is incredible..one of the most eye pleasing movies i have ever seen. the story is a bit slow to get started but, paired with the special effects, it is well worth the wait to see what happens in the end. the google version works well but is a little dark..i would like to see this one in hi-def! 4/5

This movie definitely isn't for kids. Think of a universe created from a painting by Salvador Dali and that's what you have here. Though I really liked the lead actress the storyline was lost because they put too much emphasis into the effects. Some people said the visual effects were beautiful, but I thought they were more unsettling than anything. Just unpleasant in general. Honestly, the movie gave me a headache, but I watched it until the end anyway. If you're looking for a fun and interesting movie, then I suggest finding something else. :(
