This Brit remake places itself in the middle--not quite as good as the Burt Reynolds original but way better than Adam Sandler's (a right proper charlie, he is). Jones shines and Statham is always fun when he bugs his eyes out like that.

This Brit version of "The Longest Yard" is worth watching. Enjoyed Vinnie Jones basically playing himself. Liked this soccer version better than the American football version. However if I'm picking feel good British prison movies, i'd go with Clive Owen's "Greenfingers" first.

for your information, the longest yard (2005) with adam sandler was a remake of the original, the longest yard (1974).

so actually mean machine is a rip off the original, the longest yard (1974).

but none the less, it's a hilarious movie, love vinnie jones.

I enjoyed it equally as much as both the longest yard movies ^_^

I first set eyes on this film in Spain funny enough..

me my brother & my dad where killing ourselves in laughter.

I'm never going to forget this film it's my all time favourite film out of all the films in history.
