After a long slog, lasting several years, to become an overnight success in Ace Ventura Pet Detective, Carrey established his star power in this adaptation of a comic-book. Here he plays lowly bank clerk Ipkiss who discovers a mysterious mask that turns him into an anarchic green-faced, shape-shifting, yellow-suited dude of a superhero.
