	Storyline:	After a plane crash in the ocean, a group of military students reach an island. Ralph organizes the boys, assigning responsibilities for each one. When the rebel Jack Merridew neglects the fire camp and they lose the chance to be seen by a helicopter, the group split under the leadership of Jack. While Ralph rationalizes the procedures, Jack returns to the primitivism, using the fear for the unknown (in a metaphor to the religion) to control the other boys, and hunting and chasing pigs, stealing the possession of Ralph's group and even killing people.

Children are the closest things to our human primitive nature. Have you noticed how we have to "teach" them to be civilized from the biting 2 year old to the hitting 9 year old? It is human nature to act like a "cave man" until society tells us otherwise. This movie shows what happens when you take civilized prep school boys stranded on an island due to a plane crash. They shed civilization and show our true human side of survival and our true side of interpersonal relations between human to human. Very scary yes - but a classic film [this is the 2nd the first was black and white from the 50s - but the color version is the better] based on a classic book. However you can watch it - you will want to watch it.
