Director Harlin works on the commendable assumption that an action-thriller should be thrilling and full of action. In this jet-propelled vehicle for wife Davis, he and writer Black leave nothing to chance. Samantha is a seemingly contented homemaker, with a daughter and a large kitchen. She's lost all memory that she was formerly a professional undercover killer with knifely rather than wifely talents, which make her dangerous to know. She's aided by a downmarket private eye (Jackson) as she goes in search of the past and encounters some truly brutal types.
