Ewan McGregor stars as a cleaning man in L.A. who takes his boss's daughter hostage after being fired and replaced by a robot. Two "angels" who are in charge of human relationships on earth, offer some unsolicited help to bring this unlikely couple together. The "angels" are so successful that the daughter soon turns on her father in order to save her captor.

This is an amazing film. Cameron Diaz and Ewan Mgreggor are fantastic. The film is a mixture of romantic comedy, and action thriller.
I love this film, I loved the music and I loved the acting.
And the opening sequence was brilliant !
I highly recommend this film and I defy any one who does not agree with me !

I first saw this movie several years ago, I rented it without knowing much about it and was really impressed with it. It's funny and quirky, if you like that kind of thing then you'll love this movie. It has a great soundtrack (Ash, Oasis), a top class cast (Holly Hunter, Stanley Tucci, Delroy Lindo, Ian Holm) and a story that with more twists than a slinky.
After the runaway success of Trainspotting, director Danny Boyle's next film couldn't have been more different. This is a strangely sophisticated screwball comedy about a hapless janitor and would-be trashy novelist Robert, (McGregor) who kidnaps Celine (Diaz), the daughter of his boss (Holm), for revenge after he is replaced by a robot. Then, in perhaps the most photogenic case of Stockholm Syndrome ever to grace the big screen, Celine takes a shine to dim bulb Robert and becomes criminal mentor to her would be tormentor, blackmailing her father on his behalf.
