Late For DinnerIt's 1962. After Willie Husband (Wimmer) is shot during a fateful real-estate argument in the Californian desert, he and backward brother-in-law Frank Lovegren (Berg) seek medical help from cryonics loon Dr Dan Chilblains (Brundin). When they defrost it's 1991.
Director Richter's time-travel drama sets off at an enjoyable lick as the pair stumble through the vulgarized oddities of 1990s Los Angeles but grinds to a halt as it turns into a lifeless family drama. Willie's wife (Harden) and daughter (Flynn) have aged without him, and the film tries to find depth in the trio's emotional confrontation, only to expose the script's turgid sentimentality.
