Jerry Maguire is a man who knows the score. As a top agent at Sports Management International, Jerry is unquestionably a master of his universe. Trouble is -- Jerry's mind, mouth and soul are usually on automatic pilot. He's good at friendship, but (as his numerous ex-girlfriends testify) bad at intimacy. Still, there's absolutely nothing wrong with Jerry that a sudden dose of failure can't cure. A week after spontaneously writing a stirring, visionary mission statement for SMI entitled 'The Things We Think And Do Not Say: The Future of Our Business,' he's unceremoniously fired. Stripped of ... his job and a good measure of his identity, the tenacious but hanging-by-a-thread Jerry is forced to start from scratch. He's joined on his journey to redemption by two unlikely allies: Rod Tidwell, a second-tier wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals; and Dorothy Boyd, a wistful 26-year-old single mother who departs her accountancy position with SMI for a very uncertain future with her new boss.

Just as Ronaldo is sold for 80 million pounds to Real Madrid, Jerry Maguire in turn highlights the greed of the sports agent?s world
Delightful film from Cameron Crowe about one lone sports agents attempt to fight the system he helped created. The film in turn highlights the excesses of the 90s and shallowness of the corporate world. The sports agent is played by Tom Cruise, who tries to put something back and change things, be less corporate and more humanistic towards his clients. Cruise gives one of his best performances, up there with his role in Magnolia, Renee Zellweger is actually watchable, delivering the classic you had me at hello and theres a great script full of quotable lines, show me the money and my favourite, roll with the punches, tomorrows another day...
A Guilty Pleasure
Alot of people seem to hate this on principal; glossy Hollywood fare, starring the inimitable Mr Cruise, and already made famous for it's, 'Show Me The Money!', and, 'you had me at 'Hello'' scenes. Still, if you can put your cynicism on hold, you might just fall in love with this film, as I did. Cruise manages to play the eponymous lead with just the right mixture of smarm and charm, as a sporting agent who has a Road To Damascus moment and renounces the big money ethos held dear by his firm. Setting up shop on his own, having retained only one of his former clients, the film is a beautifully judged and perfectly played romantic comedy, as Jerry tries against the ...
Jerry Maguire
An enjoyable movie that works best in its more intimate moments; its wider theme, of one man's redemption through learning to care for others, is vitiated by its feel-good ending, when the difference between agent-as-shark and agent-as-good-guy is obliter

"An exceptionally tasty contempo comedic romance....Smartly written and boasting a sensational cast, Cameron Crowe's shrewdly observed third feature also gives Tom Cruise one of his very best roles..."

I have heard of how great of this movie for a long time. Anyway,I never watched it till today. This is great like everybody says. Really worth to watch.
It's so touching!! I really loved this movie.. the script was very good. Cameron Crowe really delivers. All the actors were great especially Tom, Renee, Cuba & Jonathan (he's absolutely adorable here!!). 5/5
Hey, Great movie.. "Show me the money!".. well Tom seems to have done OK out of it! A good entertaining movie with some good philosophy about it.. Well yeah, it's Hollywood and Cruise but they tried.. Not too bad eh!
Loved the performances by Cruise, Zellwiger, and "the kid". How many lines came out of this film that were(and some still are) in our daily conversations!? "You complete me" - think about the others - there are a LOT! Still, well done and Gooding, Jr. delivered a powerful, believable performance as well. Watcha nd see for yourseof, I believe you will agree. 4.5/5
