The movie is a great watch.

But, most of this story is fiction. Some could argue all of it is. It is a Hollywood parable told to make a statement about the Iraq war.

I think there maybe some disrespect to the Davis family. It was their son who was murdered, and it is his homicide that "Hollywood" said they scripted this movie from.

I do not know if there is any political gain or American public justice in using the "jest" of an unfortunate killing of a young American Solider to advocate opposition to a pictular war. There are too many creative ways to promote opposition than capitalizing on the tragedy of a real family and the real death of their only son. Yes, they only had one son, not the 2 in the movie.

Why exploiting "it is based on true events" is a needed as a marketing tool to get people to watch a movie, for whatever reason, at the expense of the character of a real American soldier and his death is beyond me. The portrayal of the character of this young man was misleading, and I think that is wrong.

Any man who serves in our Country’s Military Services should always be treated with respect. The real family served in 2 unpopular wars, the father in Vietnam and his son in Iraq.

No matter how anyone one feels about a war the bottom line is these men who severed our country should be respected for doing so.

This was an excellent film. Touching,Tragic and Moving.. touched on alot of emotions. Honestly believe this could not be improved upon. 4/5 stars easily. A lesson to be learned, nothing is never quite the way we are TOLD to see it.
