In icebound Wichita, Kansas, it's Christmas Eve, and this year Charlie Arglist (John Cusack) just might have something to celebrate. Charlie, an attorney for the sleazy businesses of Wichita, and his unsavory associate, the steely Vic Cavanaugh (Billy Bob Thornton) have just successfully embezzled $2 million from Kansas City boss Bill Guerrard (Randy Quaid). But the real prize for Charlie is the stunning Renata (Connie Nielsen), who runs the Sweet Cage strip club. Charlie hopes to slip out of town with Renata. I thought with John Cusack the movie is good,but it stops there. The start is good but it goes downhill from there.I was trying to understand the movie , but after a while I gave up. The plot is bad although the acting is good. Overall the movie is rubbish. It is a waste of time and money to rent this one.

How can this not be a great movie, when you have the most legendary phrase of all time in it: [after shouting the guy in the chest] 'You're dead Roy, you are dead, don't stand there and pretend you are not!' Hilarious! I really liked this film, great dark humor, supurb dialogue, wrapped in a good story line. Watch it I say.
