I See a Dark StrangerThis entertaining espionage thriller, with a touch of the Hitchcock of The 39 Steps, has as its heroine a British-hating member of the IRA. In Dublin, during the Second World War, Irish lass Kerr is persuaded to spy for the Germans in order to get even with her sworn enemy. Naturally, in a British film, her ideals are compromised when she falls for British officer Howard. Mostly played tongue-in-cheek during the twists and turns of the clever plot.
