This is one of those rare movies that has a certain ambience all of its own which makes it stand out from the crowd.
Its one of those movies like time travel type films where you will be thinking ... 'ah but wait, how can that be possible' and the little inconsistences in the plot might irritate you a little, especially at the end. Julie Christie plays the love interest, but I thought she was perhaps miscast as she is a little old here (and her hair style in this is lame) to pull it off convincingly. But there are genuinely memorable scenes in this movie which I certainly found very moving. |
