Jack Cole is a soft spoken, mystical, new age New York cop with a checkered past. He is transferred to Los Angeles to help Los Angeles cop Jim Campbell solve a series of brutal murders in which the victims are crucified. The murders that have happened since Jack arrived in Los Angeles just don't sit right with him. When the killer, known as the "Family Man", kills Ellen DunLeavy, who happens to be Jack's ex wife and the mother of his two kids, and Ellen's husband Andrew DunLeavy, it becomes personal - especially when Jack's prints are found on Ellen's body. Jack meets with his military mentor... Smith, not knowing that Smith is in cahoots with local crime boss Frank Deverell.

Above Average Seagal
This is most definitely one of Steven Seagal's better movies, we all know he's not the best actor in fact he is a very poor wooden actor and sometimes he seems very uncomptable when he's not doing the action scenes but this movie plays to his strengths and even shows a less serious and very funny Seagal while at the same time giving him a chance to do some kick ass action which he of course does very well. The chemistry between Seagal and Wayans is genuine and they play off each other very well both comically and dramatically.
I would recommend this even if you not Steven Seagal's biggest fan but enjoyed Under Siege give this one a try certainly his best of the rest..

Otherwise, it's a pleasantly sweet confection with all the trimmings, whipped up to cheer anyone wh...
Glimmer Man, The
Sandwiched between his eco-warrior outings On Deadly Ground and Fire Down Below, this action thriller has Steven Seagal going back to the no-brainer fare that made his name. It's a partial success, but ultimately it lacks the streamlined thrills of his early films thanks to John Gray's unexceptional direction. Here, New Age cop Seagal discovers his murky government past coming back to haunt him as he pursues a serial killer. Keenen Ivory Wayans provides a lively foil as his partner, but Brian Cox, as Seagal's former boss, only succeeds in butchering an American accent again.
