	Storyline:	Johnny, a professional gambler becomes the right hand of Balin, the owner of an illegal casino in Buenos Aires. This post becomes stressful, when Balin marries Gilda, the ex-friend of Johnny. She is having affairs with others, and Johnny has to do a lot that Balin doesn't get informed about. Due to some other illegal things Balin does, he has to leave Argentina in a way that he seems to be dead for everybody. After this Johnny marries Gilda, but not because he loves her, but because he wants to punish her of not being faithful to Balin. But things are not going in the way Johnny has planed.

Masochistic love-hate relationship around three morally bankrupt characters... This steamy noir is a must see!

The moment when she slowly...slowly strips off one single black satin glove ... and the way she flings her hair... the innocent smile along with those lascivious moves .... wow! I mean I'm a woman too and totally straight ... but when you look at this steaming hot redhead... oh wow!!

Hey, kinda wonderful this movie..unusual, a bit slow but full of depth and certainly worth the effort.

Jane Russel, beautiful as ever but vulnerable here, Glen Ford, slightly oily but you kinda know he's a god guy under the surface.. So noir but very worthwhile.. Do watch this it's an excellent movie from the late 40's. B/W flicks have a charm all their own, it's what your grandparents used to watch, they're much more dramatic than what we get to see these days.. do enjoy!! Lol

i've seen quite a few noirs recently and this is defonitly onne of the better ones, its got a unique storyline, brilliant shots and Rita Hayworth is stunning.
