[SPOILER] but the movie does (sorta) hold a new look at the genre of "kill so many people = no more prison time" Also has a few problems in the script that make the movie hard to believe (the harder it is to believe, the harder it is to get "into" the movie) Problems include: [SPOILER] my rating: 6/10

That's what I read somewhere and if I find the person who said that I'll hit him upside the head with my laptop, I really don't believe that the people who made this actually played (any real) games. By the way I have "real" games such classics as Goldeneye 64, Contra, Metal Slug and Tribes to Modern Warfare 2 and Uncharted, those who know..know. Anyway this movie doesn't seem to feel the same way as any game I've played, it's seems to be over the top and serious, which never goes down well, especially with all the gore. The story itself was a pretty interesting concept, I never thought of technology going in this direction and yes that larger than life guy did disgust me..alot.

Something that I did like was the vast amount of actors that I'd seen from other movies, but didn't know their names, like the main guy from 300, the muscularly guy from white chicks(Terry Crews), that woman from Drag Me To Hell (Alison Lohman) and every time I seen that guy from 300 (Gerard Butler) I had to resist the urge to shout out "SPARTANS!"

So all in it's good story (well the concept anyway) with tones of action (though over the top sometimes) a good list of actors, it's just a shame that it didn't seem it "work" that well if you know what I mean, it just seem to bore me at times, maybe next time..

Decent watch, I hoped for more.. Wasn't the best from Gerard.. but it was alright.. the female nudity was gratuitous, but if you've checked out Second Life it doesnt seem too far fetched lol.. its just a neurological upgrade step up. Okay, but won't buy.

Gerad butler anf Michael C. hall OMg is all i can say, HILARIOUS act and AMAZING.

The game is more real than life and the game is alive.

i'c choked and i'm OWERWHELMED. When it ended it felt like i was watching the movie in what 15 minutes but a whole hour just passed by and i didn't relize a second. THIS MOVIE IS NON STOP, ACTION, AMAZING, FUNNY, HILARIOUS, BAD A S S KICKING MOVIE AND I FEEL AMAZED.

GOSH THIS IS A MUST SEE. 5 STAR MOVIE

The movie was fairly good. Even though slayers should have been more defined, it did explain the basics of it (make it to the save point alive). The movie being "abstract" worked very well for everything besides the slayers sequences, but those were surprisingly short. Something that I thought they did very well though is showing how the user interacts with their character.

This kind of movie has been done before and done better battle royal 1-2, the tournament, Death Race, The Condemned etc.. etc..

Also why the hell do so many directors do that crap where they jerk the camera around the place in action scenes IT'S ANNOYING!!

The thought of mind control creeps me out, why would anyone chose to let other people use their body for anything some freak would do to it for money. But I guess if a mom loves her child and there is nothing else she can do she will put herself on the line to get them back, that goes for guys too when it come to making or keeping their family intact!

Movie reminds me of running man but with a few changes and certainly flaws.I thought there would be a better ending but again, it is all from the worst to wishful thinking in these type of movies [SPOILER] The action sequences are a mess.You don't really get what is going on..who is against who.Running man made some sense but this one kind of goes off the ball.I found the movie pretty annoying at times but kept on.One word..nothing special.
