A drama based on the longest Mafia trial in U.S. history, mobster Jack DiNorscio, faced with a series of charges, decides to stand trial instead of ratting out his family and associates. A wrench is thrown into the system when DiNorscio opts to defend himself.
For half a century, hot or cool, the trial dramas of director Sidney Lumet have established a clean, gliding visual order even when there's disorder in the court.
Before Twelve Angry Men (1957), Lumet worked in live television, a medium not conducive to a lot of fancy cutting. Now, a half-century later and a generation after The Verdict, Lumet is back in court with the minor but well-crafted Find Me Guilty. He's still going with what works: lengthy, leisurely takes allowing us to take in a lot of prime faces at once. (Spike Lee, he of the relentless "Watch me!" technique, could use a little Lumet in his diet.)
Sitting through the belabored courtroom drama Find Me Guilty feels like a particularly prolonged session of jury duty.

Perhaps most offensive of all, it seeks to celebrate the adorable qualities of hardened criminals and wants us to root for their freedom. The most lovable of the band of thugs on trial - or at least the loudest - is Jack DiNorscio, a two-bit New Jersey wise guy played, or rather mugged, by Vin Diesel in a bad wig.
He has a cockeyed sense of honor (don't all Hollywood gangsters?) and prides himself on never ratting on a buddy....

. The best performance I've ever seen by Vin Diesel ..all the acting was superb. I couldn't stop watching this movie..most of it is focused on his trial and I thought that it would get boring and drawn out ..but it didn't at all. One awesome movie. 10/10
