Few Good Men, AA legal drama in which army lawyers Cruise and Moore are called in to defend two soldiers accused of killing one of their company after some appallingly brutal bullying. While the thrust of the story is supposed to lie in Moore forcing Cruise to find some zeal for life and the legal profession, the movie belongs jointly to Nicholson as the soldiers' manic and manipulative commanding officer and Bacon's assured performance as the prosecuting lawyer. Although Nicholson has little more than an extended cameo, he seizes the final courtroom scene and makes it a tour de force of cinema.
