Academic freedom is being suppressed, says Ben Stein. He contends that professors from around the United States are being fired from their jobs for promoting, or even exploring the possibility of, intelligent design as an alternative to Darwinism. Stein interviews the expelled academics and other supporters of intelligent design. He also interviews the scientists in the mainstream, who support Darwinism. Stein links Darwinism to Nazism, Communism, eugenics and abortion. Vintage clips of educational films and Hollywood movies are used to illustrate points in a satirical way.
There's an intelligent case to be made for intelligent design, which is why Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, a flimsy attempt to discredit Darwinist theory as the cornerstone of modern biology, reps such a missed opportunity. While roving interviewer Ben Stein extracts some choice soundbites from scientists on both sides of the creation-vs.-evolution debate, the film's flippant approach undermines the seriousness of its discourse, trading less in facts than in emotional appeals. A probable punching bag for film critics and evolution proponents alike, docu will be a natural selection for Christian audiences and should spread like the gospel on homevid.

A theory is as good as it gets in science. Like the theory of gravity and the theory of thermodynamics, evolution has been proven over and over again for the past 150 years to be a very good theory. Science doesn't deal with Metaphysics, it deals with testable tangible data. Believe in a great sky daddy or flying spaghetti monster if you want, just don't try and pass your belief off as science.

IN A FEW DECADES PEOPLE WON'T EVEN REMEMBER CREATIONISM, WHEREAS EVOLUTION WILL BE STUDIED AND RELIED UPON FOR THE REST OF HUMAN HISTORY AND BEYOND.
AND ITS NOT THAT SCIENTISTS THINK CREATIONISTS ARE SIMPLETONS, OR THEY WOULD JUST TEACH THEM THE FACTS OF LIFE, ITS THAT WE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU BELIEVE ANYMORE, WE'VE BEEN TRYING TO EXPLAIN THESE THINGS AND OTHERS FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS TO THEM, BUT THE RELIGIOUS INBREDS KEEP KILLING OUR PEOPLE FOR BEING 'HEATHENS' SO WE'RE JUST GOING TO LEAVE THEM TO THEIR OWN DEVICES AND PROVE EVOLUTION BY CONTINUING TO EVOLVE MENTALY UNTIL WE ARE A SEPERATE SPECIES. IRONICALY THE CREATIONIST WILL BE MORE CLOSELY RELATED TO THE PRIMATES THAT THEY REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE AS THEIR ANCESTORS THAN THE TRUE HUMAN RACE OF INTELLIGENT OPEN MINDED AND LOGICAL 'DARWINISTS'!
Main issues aside, the attempt in drawing a parallel between Darwinism and Nazism was absolutely retarded. Its like blaming Jesus for the Westboro Baptist Church. This movie is entertaining but painfully petty and careless in its choice of "expert opinion". None of the interviewees at the beginning of the documentary lost their jobs because of their ideologies, they made choices that violated their contracts and now hide behind persecution to save face.
Here's an accurate parallel between this movie and Nazism - Using propaganda to become synonymous with symbols of power, integrity, and triumph. Knocking down the Berlin wall? Visiting concentration camps? Stalin? Gtfo Ben Stein.
Since I watched this film ALL the way through, I can tell you it is a MUST SEE! It is excellent in showing the bigotry in science today.
One of my favorite parts is where Richard Dawkins says

that there could have been an early civilization or being that "planted seeds" on the earth in order to get the kind of beings it wanted..so long as you don't call that "being", "God".
