The remakes isn't as good as the 1945 picture.
But regardless, the story is fantastic and anyone who wasn't pleased with the movie should try picking up the book instead.

ahh, it's o.k.. the selling of your soul-bullshit, really doesn't stand out by today's standards. i'm sure it was amazing back in the 19th century, but not these days(I think so....). worth a one time watch ONLY. 2 of 4 stars average.

i will say the beginning of this movie was very boring and way to many weird sex scenes,, but the second half was quite interesting and got better.. wasnt the best movie i watched but interesting story .. 7/10

I think it was an alright movie. I mean, nothing extraordinary but not a total failure either. The acting seemed a bit off sometimes and some scenes were just jumping in and out of the screen with no transition whatsoever but the atmosphere of the movie was creepy. So I guess they succeeded in some way to show what we needed to see and feel. Besides, even though the movie was short, you could see the evolution in Dorian's caracter. However, there are a lot of unnecessary sex scenes.. 7/10
