i liked this movie
i thought it took potentially sensitive subject matter and handled it brilliantly - exploring christian mythology - blending in humour, irony and a bog monster with adept precision.

its a mystery that needs solving - its a comment on the validity of omnipotence

but u got to admit it - alan rickmans voice is like sex on a stick.

i liked the ending gory then a bit of the unknown and then that ahhhh moment that u knew was going to happen

so there!

Although laugh out loud funny in some places, this movie has a lot of faults. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are allowed to get away with very smug, self indulgent performances. While Affleck never impresses me Damon on his own often shows he is a fine actor. Put them together however and they inevitably turn into a couple of giggling cretins who are convinced they are far funnier than they actually are. Similarly Jay and Silent Bob at some point stop being funny and end up being annoying.

This film is also a prime example of the writer not having a clue how to end the movie and so just creating a garbled mess, the ending really was very poor. It's a shame because the first half of the film was great but the ending leaves you with the feeling the movie was worse than it actually was.

This film is utterly amazing. Kevin Smith did a great job writing and directing this film and every time i watch it i enjoy it even more.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were exelent and i would say it would be one of their best rolles.
